The Woolpack is a natural end point after a walk in the Slad Valley, but it is worth planning around its kitchen hours: food is served Tuesday to Sunday, with lunch and dinner windows on most days. Inside, the fireside tavern and snug suit colder visits; in summer, the vine-covered terraces make a scenic place to linger over a meal or local cider.

Dogs are welcome. Sunday has lunch and evening food service; Monday is bar-only according to the current schedule.
