Visit website

DEYA is a real working brewery on Lansdown Industrial Estate near Cheltenham Spa station. Its main taproom brings the beer close to where it is made, with a large social space, an extensive draft selection and a recognisable crocodile-led visual identity. The Swamp, its smaller original taproom, offers a different scale of visit.

What makes it worth a stop

For someone interested in beer, the point is the changing selection and the chance to compare styles at their source. Look beyond the beer you already recognise: ask what is fresh, order a size that suits your curiosity and spend time with it. The venue also lists cider, wine and soft drinks, so a mixed group need not all be beer drinkers.

Food and company

DEYA publishes a food page and event calendar. Food traders and service arrangements can differ between spaces and dates, so check the actual session you plan to attend rather than treating every opening hour as a guaranteed lunch sitting. Supervised children and dogs on leads are welcome under the venue’s stated policies.

Getting there

The location works particularly well on a train weekend. Ritual Brew Bar & Kitchen is on the same estate for coffee and brunch before the taproom opens. Cheltenham’s central evening restaurants are a separate part of town; decide whether you want to walk, take a bus or arrange a taxi afterwards.

Book a table for a larger group or a busy session if you want certainty. Drivers using the estate should follow DEYA’s parking registration instructions. Plan a way home that does not depend on someone changing their mind about drinking.
