Cotswold Hills Golf Club sits at Ullenwood, on the rising ground south of Cheltenham. It is an 18-hole course laid out in two nine-hole loops, with open fairways, planted woods and a clubhouse overlooking the 9th and 18th greens. The club welcomes visitor rounds, so you do not need to be a member to play.
The layout gives a proper full-round option, while the two-loop arrangement is useful if your group is considering the pace of the day. There is a practice range near the 10th tee, but the club restricts practice facilities to members and visitors paying a green fee. The clubhouse can make lunch after the round a more attractive plan than rushing back into town.
Book your starting time through the pro shop; the club says it accepts these up to five days ahead. Course condition, tee availability, dress rules and green fees can change, so confirm them when you book. The setting is Ullenwood rather than central Cheltenham, and the address is the useful navigation point.
